This wonderful aquarium is home to over 2,500 underwater creatures. Top amongst its highlights is the 83-meter-long tunnel, allowing guests to see the marine spectacle from below.

One of the city’s most popular attractions, the Night Safari is a night-time zoo, offering visitors the extraordinary opportunity of witnessing the life of nocturnal creatures.

With a height of 165 meters, the Singapore Flyer is the world’s second largest ferris wheel. Jump aboard one of its capsules and take in the glorious views from the top.

This zoo deservedly ranks amongst the best in the world. The animals are kept in stunning enclosures resembling their natural habitat—even the polar bears are made to feel at home!

Amongst Singapore’s many highlights, food ranks very highly. However, the best meals are not necessarily found in the many restaurants, but out on the streets, where the local population eats. Visit any of the city’s numerous hawker centers and take your pick from one of the many stalls offering cuisine from all over Asia. Not only will the food be delicious, but you won’t believe how little it costs!

Singapore boasts a large variety of cultures, many of which have specific and sometimes strict social customs. While a certain level of ignorance is tolerated in tourists, if you’re invited to dinner or to someone’s house, it’s good to inform yourself about proper cultural etiquette in order to avoid offending your hosts.

Though Singapore’s weather is hot all year around, the air-conditioning is kept at very high levels indoors. It’s a good idea to carry a sweater with you, as visitors unaccustomed to the air-conditioning can easily catch a cold from the frequent temperature jumps.
